Tenure-Track Review & Promotion

Tenure-track faculty at Macalester undergo a pre-tenure (third-year) review, a tenure review, and may later stand for promotion to full professor. The Faculty Personnel Committee (FPC) conducts these reviews and makes recommendations to the Provost and President. The governing criteria and procedures are in the Faculty Handbook, Section 3.
